Albatross

$6.00
Albatrosses, with their large wingspans of 6 to 11 feet, can be seen soaring and gliding out at sea above the North Pacific and Southern Oceans, often without a single flap of their wings. They feed primarily on squid and schooling fish, but are known to follow fishing boats in hopes of handouts. At rest they float on top of the water, and are able to ingest and process salt water. They nest in colonies on remote islands, returning to land only to mate.
1.25" Hard enamel pin; nickel metal.
