Beaver Pin

Beavers are the largest living rodents in North America, with adults measuring around three feet in length and 40 pounds in weight. These semi-aquatic mammals have webbed hind feet, and a broad, flat tail that measures up to 15 inches long and six inches wide; covered with leathery scales and sparse, coarse hairs, their tail stores body fat, helps regulate body temperature, acts as a defense mechanism when threatened, and a support when on land. Their teeth are covered in an orange-colored iron-rich coating of enamel, and continue to grow throughout their life, with daily use keeping them trimmed.
