Green Sea Turtle

Weighing in at up to 700 pounds, Green Sea Turtles are among the largest sea turtles in the world. These turtles spend most of their lives in the ocean. However, females must return to land in order to lay their eggs. From feeding grounds up to 800 miles away, they return to the same beach where they were born to lay, at night, their clutch of about 100 eggs. Those that reach maturity may live over 80 years in the wild.
