Canyonlands NP Milky Way Pin

National parks preserve some of the darkest skies in the country. In August of 2015 Canyonlands National Park received certification as a Gold Tier International Dark Sky Park. The goal of a Dark Sky Park is to preserve a natural dark sky, share it with the public and educate visitors about light pollution and the difference they can make.
