Milky Way Series
The Milky Way, consisting of planets, asteroids, meteors, comets and over 200 billion stars, appears as a pale strip of light that can be seen stretched across our darkest night skies. Stargazers and photographers head to our national parks to enjoy an evening of meteor shower watching, constellation spotting, Milky Way viewing and night sky photography, undisturbed by light pollution of urban areas. Check with the visitor center for current night sky programs being offered in the park!
