Brighty the Burro is an iconic image of the Grand Canyon. The bronze statue remembering this special animal stood proudly in the Grand Canyon's Lodge for decades. After the devastating fire on the North Rim in July, 2025, NPS firefighting crews were able to locate & rescue the beloved Brighty statue!
