Dall Sheep Pin

Dall Sheep inhabit the mountain ranges of Alaska, where they utilize the meadows, ridges and steep slopes for feeding and resting, and the rocks and crags to elude predators. Males are easily identified by their massive curled horns, which continue to grow throughout their lifetimes; horn growth is steady during the spring summer and early fall, and stops in the winter, creating the ring pattern called annuli. Ewes have shorter, more slender, slightly curved horns.

1.25" Hard enamel pin; nickel metal finish.
