Lupine Bookmark

The striking lupine is native to North America and can be found growing across the continent from coast to coast. The lupine’s blue-purple flowers bloom in late spring from a central spike, growing 1-5 feet tall. Part of the legume family, the pea-like pods of the lupine contain up to a dozen seeds; only the sweet lupine seeds are non-toxic and edible without further processing.
