Wolverine Pin
Wolverines are the largest land-dwelling member of the weasel family, distinguished by a long, bushy tail, dark brown fur with tawny brown stripes down the side body, a broad, elongated head, short, rounded ears and small eyes. It is believed that there are only 300 wolverines in the Northern Rockies and Cascade ranges. They are generally spotted in higher elevation sub-alpine zones, and rely on deep winter snowpack that last into late spring to raise their young. Wolverines hunt small animals like rabbits and rodents, and also scavenge for larger carrion, including deer and elk.
